I'm leavin for Austin on Tuesday. I think we need the break so much. I realized it not that I don't love him because I do but I just can't deal with his depression. He wrote me a poem the other day and I couldn't tell if he was telling me he loved me or wanted to boil the flesh from my bones. He's complicated and I don't know how to deal with it. That and he has an obsession with porn. Its to the point he prefers porno to me. I don't even know how to deal with that. How can I compete with endless internet porn? What does that mean about us? His need to be alone hurts me but I don't know how to say that without it ending in a fight. I'm rambling now so I'm going to just play Street Fighter 4 and ignore that my life is like a spinning plate.

I just found out the identity of the woman who was shot on Saturday night and it was bartender friend of mine named Wendy. I will greatly miss her jokes about how gay I was and how drunk I was. I think I'm going to be sick over senseless killing that happens in this city.

09:43 am - I feel old and straight.
What do you tell friends when they constantly remind you of how "cute" you are with someone who you don't even know what you feel for anymore. Granted, I do love him but there is this longing for more and I sort of feel like a dick because these feelings started the moment he went back to school. I just didn't picture at 26 I would hear my boyfriend bitch about reading Beowulf and constantly telling all the things we can't do anymore. Maybe the media and Morrissey are to blame for my problems. The media feed me this lie that if I found the one I loved and actually got them, I would live in this extreme whimsical life of long glances and Morrissey promised me self-doubt and eternal longing for something that is never achieveable. Life sucks when you get what you want, you no longer have anything to bitch about wanting and you can't push the self-destruct button when other depend on you.

09:56 pm - The Chanukkah Post
So today we had traditional Jewish food and pretended we cared it was Christmas Eve. It was nice but you know after like 6 or 7 years of spending this holiday with someone you are just like "meh". I am actually looking forward to tomorrow because I am a fan of Christmas and since I'm 100% our cats are in fact God fearing Christians we are having Christmas for them (weird and lame but whatever). It is so odd because I think one day we might just have a kid and the thought sort of scares me.
Oh Andy and his lady friend are expecting a baby and we are inheriting an exciting sought after piece of real estate near Audubon Park on Magazine. Since we moved here we have dreamed of a place like this and knowing that we will soon have it makes up for the two years of living at Riverbend.
Oh a non-holiday note, there is a soft spot in my heart for people have it harder than me especially transsexuals but GLBT people who use the word faggot really bothers me. I can think of only a handful of times I've been called a faggot and I had to use those years of boxing training to prevent that from happening again. I know I'm sort of a tough guy in a sort of girly way but I really just find that word distasteless especially with all that is going on with America and gay civil rights. For once I feel like second class citizen and I do not need other GLBT people trying to put me or anyone else I respect down. It is funny how like black people, GLBT are never really organize and always trying to put each other down to be on top. Maybe it is nature for those lower on the totem pole to fight each other for a place on the top but that is just my humble observation.
Happy Holidays all my friends in real life (expect a text tomorrow at a ungodly hour unless I'm drunk) and my intrawebz folks be safe.

- I had a board meeting with St Charles Parish's Satellite School in Luling.
- Locked out of my HR director's rental car.
- Finally got out the November report with 07's trending data.
- Had an amazing meal of mussels, cheese manicotti, shallot green beans, and curry pears (lots of red wine).
- Told Dan how much I appreciate him.

So my outside cat (Dan does not claim him) Hitler is missing and I'm sure he has died. It's really sad because of all the outside cats (there are like 6 now) he was my favorite. Not because he had a little Hitler stache but because he was a really sweet cat and I think he was one of Homer's brothers (Homer was rescued from a burning house at 3 weeks old a block away from where we live now). I felt like besides Marion and Josh's Dante, Hitler was the only other family Homer really had and for some odd reason it makes me sad that one of his brothers is no longer meowing at me for food when I get home or when I'm leaving for work.
We are thinking about adopting one of the kittens (there are three) around our house. Our neighbor is taking care of them but honestly I'm not sure I want another street cat right now. Homer's a little feral and we like it but two feral cats would be too much. I think we are going to go to the pound before Christmas to pick out a new one. It is going to be a present for Homer. Dan wants a dog but I don't know if Homer would like that especially since if we get a dog I want this one:
